College Days
Employment finds me sitting in a classroom at a particular junior college working with students from 8-4 today. It just really reminds me of ourselves in college. Making a move from one lecture to another and having free-periods that really arnt very productive. When girlies are mostly still giggly noisy little things and boys attempting to be a manly-man (based on their own definitions). Ecstatic that the rigidity of secondary school has come to pass and now concerned about everything else other than the Alevels.
The canvas-feeling straight uniforms and collar pins.
Life as lived and loved seems like its just a trainstop away.
We are strangers in a room. Armed with our shields and swords we stay guarded. There is a queer sense of familiarity and comfort. There's no telling where that came from since we are strangers through and through.
I am the astronaut and you are the new universe.
